Air Raider, Inc. is an early stage technology company developing its patented fire control system. The system will make a virtually unlimited amount of oxygen-reduced air that can be pumped into a burning building or potentially explosive environment. The oxygen reduced air is sufficiently high for consumption by humans while low enough in oxygen to extinguishing many fires and reduce smoke. Urovalve, Inc's mission is to design, develop and commercialize superior medical devices that address serious problems with urinary flow and control. During the last year, the company has successfully completed the initial human feasibility study and is developing plans for what is expected to be the pivotal clinical trial of the refined design. Upon successful completion of this trial, Urovalve will meet with the FDA to request a 510k premarket notification to enable commercialization. Urovalve plans to manufacture through contract or partnerships, and will seek opportunities for collaboration for broader commercialization. This revolutionary disposal intraurethral valve-catheter is intended to enable men who experience urinary retention to control bladder emptying and to significantly reduce health risks associated with current available catheters. Urovalve's revenues are projected to grow to $100 million by 2011. Urovalve has received funding from private investors as well as through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority Techniuum program and the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology. The company also has received a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Grant from NIH, and is looking forward to a positive decision on a Phase II SBIR application that is pending with NIH.
